“No Gear Fear” Weekend with Skydive Shenandoah

Skydive Shenandoah is holding their “No Gear Fear” Weekend Saturday, March 6th through Monday, March 8th beginning at 4pm. There will be no jumping this year due to the resurfacing of their runway. There is still plenty to do! There will be a team of riggers onsite for repacks, gear education, practice cutaways and more! There will be a potluck Saturday, so bring your favorite dish. Fabric Basket Workshop

Join Margaret Shifflett for a fabric basket workshop, Saturday, February 27th from 9:30am to 12:30pm at Ragtime Fabrics. This class is for confident beginners to experts, and will teach you how to make a fabric basket in 5 different sizes. For this class, though, choose between a small basket or a medium basket. The pattern will be provided. Comedy and Kizomba on Court Square

Comedy and Kizomba on Court Square in Harrisonburg is Saturday, March 13th from 7pm to 11pm. Enjoy a 45-minute comedy show, Kizomba lessons, and an open dance floor with comedian Dawn Womack and Kizomba dancer and teacher Phillip Fusaro. This is a new monthly event that will be taking place every second Saturday. Each event will include a special host and feature beers from local breweries. Shamrock Virtual 5k Trail Run

The Shamrock Virtual 5k Trail Run is Wednesday, March 18th through Saturday, March 20th. This 5k is a relaxed event and is geared towards beginners and casual runners. This 5k typically takes place in Hillandale Park in Harrisonburg. However, this year the event will be virtual, so feel free to run or walk on your favorite path or trail.
