Annual South River Cleanup

The Annual South River Cleanup is Saturday, April 3rd from 10am to 12pm or until clean up is finished. Clean up will begin at the Arch Avenue parking lot between the Main St and Broad St bridge. Make sure to dress for the weather and wear something you don’t mind getting dirty! If you have waders, feel free to wear them to help clear some sections of the river. Bach Around The Clock 2021

Heifetz Institute is presenting Bach Around The Clock 2021, Saturday, March 20th from 8am to 8pm. Every spring, Heifetz Institute and their partners throughout the Shenandoah Valley celebrate Johann Sebastian Bach’s birthday with a full day of free musical experiences featuring local, regional, and national performers. Medieval Fantasy’s 2nd Annual Victorian Spring Fling

Medieval Fantasy’s 2nd Annual Victorian Spring Fling is Saturday, April 3rd from 11am to 4pm. The Spring Fling will be bringing steampunk to historic Downtown Staunton. Guests are invited to visit with Victorian and steampunk strolling characters. There will also be an egg hunt, eggs will be placed in windows of different downtown businesses, Sunday, March 28th through April 3rd. Participation is free! Wayne Theatre is hosting a benefit concert with Jimmy O! as part of their Benefit Concert series, on Saturday, March 27th at 7:30pm. Jimmy Overton will be focusing on hits from the ’70s, giving fun facts as you listen to groovy tunes. This event is a pay what you will event. Community Tree Planting Days

Community Tree Planting Days

Join Shenandoah Green for Community Tree Planting Days, Saturday March 13th, and Sunday March 14th, and also Saturday March 20th, and Sunday 21th from 8am to 5pm. The Staunton Legacy Tree Project began last year with the goal of planting a tree for every Staunton City School student. That’s 2,746 trees! The location of the event will vary. In addition to helping plant trees, there are also opportunities to host trees in your yard!
