Heifetz Hear & Now: Borromeo String Quartet
The Heifetz Institute presents Hear & Now – a chamber music concert series at Mary Baldwin University’s Francis Auditorium in Staunton, Virginia. The debut concert in the series features the Borromeo String Quartet, the Heifetz Institute’s Ensemble in Residence led by Artistic Director Nicholas Kitchen. Scarecrows in the Park
Crows beware! Kids, Parents, Families and Groups…everyone is welcome to join Staunton Parks and Recreation’s 4th Annual Scarecrows in the Park Build Off. The family friendly event will be on Saturday, September 24th from 9am Noon in Gypsy Hill Park. We will provide all the straw you need to build the scarecrow of your imagination. Bring clothing and whatever accessories you wish to build and decorate your scarecrow! But there is more! Your scarecrow will be presented in the park during the Month of October for all to visit. Stories, history and haunts that showcase a darker side of Staunton, Virginia Join us for a 90 minute ghost tour of HAUNTED downtown Staunton as we share a combination of history, legend, lore, mystery, murder and haunts.. A tour that features a darker side to the QUEEN CITY. Join us as we explore Staunton’s haunted past and unknown secrets. MURDER, ASYLUMS, TUNNELS, HAUNTS ALL ROLLED INTO ONE TOUR! Tour begins at 8 pm Please arrive about 15 minutes before your tour begins.

The Talking Book Center provides free audio books and other library services and resources to persons who are blind, print disabled, or unable to use standard printed materials. The TBC operates as a 501(c)3 and it is a sub-regional library of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) serving residents of Augusta County, Bath County, Highland County, Rockbridge County, City of Buena Vista, City of Lexington, City of Staunton, or City of Waynesboro.
