Family Night Flix
Staunton Parks & Rec will be hosting Family Night Flix this summer. All movies are shown on Fridays at the Gypsy Hill Park bandstand and begin at dusk, usually between 8:30 and 9:15 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, call the weather cancellation line at 540.332.3947 to find out if the event has been canceled. Starry Nights at Veritas Vineyard
On the second Saturday of every month throughout the summer, Veritas Vineyards and Wine will be hosting their signature outdoor concert series “Starry Nights.” Attendees will have the opportunity to relax under the stars as they listen to music and drink some Veritas wines. Picnic and lawn chairs are encouraged, or patrons can enjoy a buffet or table served meal prepared by Veritas chefs. Adult general admission for Starry Nights is $25 in advance and includes a souvenir stemless Veritas wine glass. Children’s tickets (ages 10-16) are available for $15 and children under 10 are free.

Greater Shenandoah Valley/Charlottesville Out of the Darkness Walk 2023
The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about. We are seeking volunteers to help us get the word out about the Walk to our area including schools, universities/colleges, businesses, churches, synagogues, civic organizations, mental health providers and others.
Art Hive Benefit Brunch & Collaborative Art Project
Brunch & create a collaborative art project to bring the creative reuse movement to Staunton! 11 am – Cocktails | Mocktails | Collaborative Art Project 12 – 2 pm – Brunch Chef Jimmie Salonie of Pauleen’s Cuisine & Handle Bar ( serving NY | DC | VA ) is our chef & mixologist for our Benefit Brunch! We have had the pleasure of being besties with Jimmie in high school *mumble* years ago. We are thrilled that the lure of our beautiful state has brought him back to the area so he can share his magic with Staunton!
The Marvelous Wonderettes at ShenanArts
Friday, June 2nd Shenan Arts will be performing the Off-Broadway play “The Marvelous Wonderettes.” This play takes attendees to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where they meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy: four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As audience members learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade them with classic ’50s hits including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.”
Shenandoah Green’s Eco Chat
Shenandoah Green is hosting its first program meeting in over three years. After a successful tree-planting campaign during the pandemic, when 3,000 trees were planted, Shenandoah Green is looking for tree stewards to care for those trees and monitor their growth and health. Come out next Thursday evening to learn how you can become a tree steward.
Art on the Town
This Memorial Day Weekend Saturday, May 27th & Sunday, May 28th The Staunton Augusta Art Center is hosting their brand new springtime arts festival in downtown Staunton. Attendees can discover phenomenal work by local artists and artisans. Vendors have all been juried in and attendees will find of a variety of high quality paintings, prints, pottery, photography, jewelry, cards, crafts and more! Saturday’s festivities will also coincide with the Staunton Farmers’ Market, located in the adjacent Wharf parking lot, as well as the amazing Ciders From Mars anniversary weekend festivities. This festival is FREE and open to the public.
2023 Summer Concert Series at Redbeard Brewing Company
Saturday, May 27th from 12pm – 9pm Redbeard Brewing Company will be kicking off their 2023 Summer Concert Series. There will be food trucks serving food all day from noon-9pm.
