African American History Day at the Frontier Culture Museum

Sunday, June 16th from 9AM-5PM is African American History Day at the Frontier Culture Museum. This event is a celebration of the many influences that Africans and African Americans have had on American culture with demonstrations including cooking, music, and more. Open Mic Night at the SolArt Center

Thursday, June 13th from 6:30-8 pm the SWAG Writers Present Open Mic Night at the SolArt Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with local writers and authors in a casual, supportive atmosphere. Prospective participants should bring 5 minutes of poetry or prose to share, or just show up to listen. All are welcome! Coffee, tea, and soft drinks will be available.
