Wine Appreciation Seminars – Holiday Food and Wine Pairing
Learn how sweetness and acidity impact the flavors of wine and how these characteristics influence food pairing. This session is designed to give you a basic understanding of food and wine pairing, so you can confidently pair wines with various dishes to enhance your dining experience. We will taste at least 6 different wines and pair them with small plates of savory items, cheeses and desserts.

Wine Appreciation Seminars – Cluster to Cork: What is Wine and What Can It Be?
Join winemaker Lee Hartman on a tour of the production facility at Bluestone Vineyard and learn about where wine comes from, how it is made, and what makes every bottle of wine different. From the vineyard, to the crush pad, barrel room to bottling, learn about the processes that craft Bluestone’s wines into something to be shared every day and on special occasions.
Veronneau – A Benefit Concert for Adagio House
Adagio House invites you to VERONNEAU! Award-winning Washington DC based VERONNEAU defy categorization. The husband-and-wife duo – Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau and UK guitarist Ken Avis – perform spirited, multilingual, jazzy, retro, soulful original songs and classics from the worlds of bossa nova, French chanson, folk, blues and pop. In addition to releasing three Top 10 charting albums to the world-music and jazz charts, Veronneau tour internationally, having performed in the US, Canada, Portugal, Spain, France and Switzerland this year, in addition to headlining at the DC Jazz Festival and being recognized as Artists in Residence at the legendary Blues Alley club in Washington DC. For Veronneau, it’s all about the song with Lynn’s spectacular voice, and her heartfelt and artful delivery of the lyrics, framed by Ken’s vibrant playfulness on the guitar. They play off one another, carefully choosing songs for their powerful melodies and imagery. CFR Fall Festival
C.F. Richards Christian School invites you to their annual Fall Festival, Sunday, October 27 from 12-4pm. All are welcome! Bring your whole family and invite friends too! Food, drinks, music, cake walk, bounce house, fire truck, corn hole, prizes, and games, games, GAMES! Event will happen rain or shine. Tickets will be sold at the door.

The Cemetery Club at ShenanArts
September 5th through September 8th ShenanArts presents The Cemetery Club. In this warm and poignant comedy, three longtime friends gather regularly to laugh, gossip and argue before going to visit their late husbands’ graves as they try to put the past behind them and move into the uncharted territory of widowhood. September First Friday at CoArt Gallery
September 6th from 5-7PM, The CoArt Gallery has announced their featured artist for September. There will be an opening reception for June Jordan as well as a drawing at 6PM to announce the winner of the artwork by John Bell. There will be light refreshments with music provided by Michael Bedwell.
Beetlejuice Costume Contest at Visulite Cinema
Thursday, September 5th the Visulite Cinema is hosting a Beetlejuice Costume Contest. “I, myself, am strange and unusual…” Is this you, too? Have you been waiting for this sequel for an eternity? Then make your best Beetlejuice inspired costume, get your tickets for the show and come on out to the premier of Beetlejuice 2 and enter our in-person costume contest! The contest is free to enter, and there will be door prizes and awards for best costumes! The contest starts at 6:30 and the movie at 7:30.
