Holiday Tour of Early Christmas Celebrations at Frontier Culture Museum
Start your holiday season with a special guided tour of the historic houses decorated for the season. Each house is decorated appropriately to its time period, and you can see the emergence of modern holiday celebrations as you move through the museum. Your journey will end on the 1850s Virginian farm, where you can make a pomander, a historical aromatic decoration, from oranges and cloves!

Christmas At Augusta Stone
A Christmas concert to benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Music performed by Queen City Trio featuring Molly Murphy, Massanutten Brass Quintet, and JMU a cappella group Into Hymn. Admission free; donations accepted to support The Food Bank.
The Nutcracker Ballet Mini-Performance
The Studio for the Performing Arts presents excerpts of The Nutcracker, danced by students of the Albemarle Ballet Theatre along with a reading of the story by E.T.A. Hoffman. This presentation will include performances in beautiful costumes and a chance for audience members to learn steps from the ballet!
