Ghost Ship (play) at Blue Ridge Community College
A Theatre Workshop for Youth Performance In this humorous and thrilling murder mystery where no one actually dies, passengers are tricked into boarding a passenger ship to a getaway vacation in the Bahamas. Soon, they realize that there is no captain of the ship and they are stuck at sea with an unknown maniac seeking revenge on all of them. Not knowing who to trust, the passengers must work together to make a plan of escape before it’s too late. Loosely based on Agatha Christie’s novel, this parody features fun characters, plot twists, and a huge surprise ending that will stretch every young performer’s ability to dive into comedy and characters unlike any they have ever played before. The Homecoming at ShenanArts
Known on television as The Waltons, they’re called The Spencers in the original book, which is how they’re named here. The time is the Great Depression and the large Spencer family, living at the foot of a Virginia mountain, is struggling hard just to survive. With his father having to take the only available job a long way from home, Clay-Boy is stuck with unusual responsibility for his brothers and sisters.
Peg Sheridan: Veils of Color
Our December First Friday will feature the Reception for Peg Sheridans’s exhibit “Veils of Color: Recent Paintings.” Light refreshments. Free prize drawing for an original artwork at 6pm. Peg will be available to answer questions about her artwork. Music by Michael Bedwell.

Silver Line Theatre Exchange presents Parfumerie by Miklos Laszlo The show that inspired You’ve Got Mail and Shop Around the Corner Parfumerie is a heartwarming and nostalgic romantic comedy set in 1930s Budapest. At Hammerschmidt’s perfume shop, Christmas draws near, heightening the tension between employees George and Amalia, who can’t seem to agree on anything — especially their feelings for each other. But unbeknownst to both, the two are actually secret pen pals who have fallen in love through anonymous letters. As secrets unfold and misunderstandings bloom, Parfumerie takes the audience on a journey of love, friendship, and second chances, highlighting the spirit of the season and the joy of unexpected connections.
Augusta Expo Arts & Crafts Vendor Show
Time to get a jump on your holiday shopping and support local artisans. The Art Expo has the best local artists, artisans and hand-crafted designs and vendors. They will also be collecting pet supplies for donation to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center. Bring a can or bag of food, pine pellet litter, Lysol spray, pet safe toys (no stuffed animals) blankets, sheets, and towels.
Veterans’ Day Parade
Come out and line Beverley Street to Honor our Veterans! Cheer for Veterans including members of the VFW, American Legion, and Honor Guards. Presenting Marching Bands, Scouting, Floats, Cars, Motorcycles, and military vehicles. The Annual Veterans’ Parade lasts about an hour and starts on Beverley St. at Market St. and ends at Lewis St. Come help us honor those who have served our country!
The Art Hive presents Doggy Holiday Cooking Class
Join them for a joyful holiday dog treat making class, where you and your furry friend can unleash your creativity! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to whip up delicious, healthy treats using simple, dog-friendly ingredients. Heather Leonard from The Well Balanced Paw, will guide you through fun recipes, from no bake snowballs to strawberry jam thumbprint cookies, ensuring that every pup gets a taste of the season. As you mix, roll, and create, you’ll share laughs and tips with fellow dog lovers. At the end of the class, you’ll leave with a basket full of homemade goodies and plenty of new ideas to keep your dog’s tail wagging all winter long!
