Learn To Throw Pottery at Staunton Clayground

Friday evenings from January 3-February 28th Join the Staunton Clayground and learn how to throw pottery. Come learn to throw functional pottery on the wheel. Students will try their hand at centering clay and throwing basic forms such as cylinders and bowls. The class will focus on mastering simple throwing and trimming techniques and will cover pulling handles for mugs as well as glazing techniques. First-time beginners are welcome! First published in 1823, A Visit from St. Nicholas by C. Clement Moore was many American children’s first encounter with the Germanic St. Nicholas, later known as Santa Claus.
