Two Gentlemen of Verona

Treehouse Shakespeare Ensemble presents William Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Transported into the world of 1970s Italy, our production is set against a backdrop of nationwide turmoil juxtaposed by the global free love movement. As Valentine and Proteus travel from their childhood home of Verona to the metropolis of glamorous Milan, they must reconcile loyalty to a lifelong friendship with personal desire. In this chaotic but hope-filled world of revolution and possibility, our young lovers – Proteus, Valentine, Sylvia, and Julia, will discover who they are and what they stand for.

Join Treehouse Shakespeare Ensemble, an MFA Shakespeare and Performance Company based out of Mary Baldwin University, November 18th and 20th at MBU at the Wharf, located at 19 West Johnson St., Staunton VA.
