Shenandoah Green’s Compost Station at the Staunton Farmers’ Market

Don’t throw your food waste into the garbage! Bring it to Staunton’s Farmers’ Market Saturday mornings and leave it with Shenandoah Green. We will convert it into nutrient-rich compost, the natural fertilizer for crops and gardens. Apple cores, banana peels, nut shells, shrimp shells, oyster shells, bones, coffee grounds, pizza boxes, grease-soaked paper towels, soiled tissues and MORE are all compostable, and Shenandoah Green wants ’em. Look for our green tent.
