Earth Day Staunton

Saturday, April 22, from 11AM-3PM Earth Day Staunton is back at the Gypsy Hill Park Bandstand. The theme is, “Plant LOCAL. Think GLOBAL. Garden for Nature.” The event will focus on native gardening to provide birds, butterflies, and bees oases throughout our area to help rebuild their populations. The local chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society will be releasing their new guide to native plants in our area at Earth Day. Also, the event will help people identify invasive plants that provide no benefit to native wildlife, and often crowd out beneficial native species. This is a fun, free, educational event for families.
